About Us
Our Mission
The Brushy Cherokee Action Association (BCAA) is a 501(c)(3) public charity dedicated to serving the Brushy community with integrity. We work at the intersection of food security, community wellness, cultural preservation, and advocacy — ensuring every resident has access to the resources and support they deserve. Our work is guided by Cherokee values of integrity, kinship, and resilience.
Our Four Pillars
  • Food Security & Nutrition
  • Community Wellness
  • Organizational Advocacy
  • Cultural Preservation
What We Do
Food Distribution Hub
Operating a full logistics facility with walk-in freezers and refrigerated transport for bulk nutritional support and meat procurement for local families.
Community Wellness
Hosting low-impact fitness and step choreography classes designed specifically for mature women — keeping our neighbors active, healthy, and connected.
Organizational Advocacy
Drafting and submitting funding applications for infrastructure and wellness programs to bring new opportunities and resources directly to the Brushy community.
Cultural Preservation
Honoring our heritage through traditional sewing classes and Cherokee language instruction — strengthening identity across generations.
